Fall Adventures

We love carving pumpkins.  I think it's one of my favorite parts about Halloween.  Notice I don't have any pictures of the kids in their costumes... :( I think there are a few on my phone, but it's always so hard because we are too busy playing and running around crazy to get good pictures.  Oh well try to remember I suppose.  We did have a fun Halloween.  We went to the library in the morning for story time and a Halloween parade which is pretty much the kids walking around in their costumes getting book marks and fruit snacks etc. They enjoyed it.  Addison was Elsa this year from Frozen along with about 50% of other girls... Clark was Sulley from Monsters Inc. (I had the privilege of making his costume this year...) and Kaylee was a ladybug.  She pretty much looked just like Addison did in the same ladybug costume so I should just put up one of those pictures ;) Then I can pretend I got one of her.  So after the library we came home had lunch and Kaylee took a nap then it was off to Dad's new work in downtown SLC to go trick-or-treating there.  I think Tyler had fun showing them off.  Then we brought him home with us and made pizza and had a few friends from the neighborhood over for dinner and all went trick-or-treating together.  It's become a fun tradition.  We love getting together with them.

Here are some Fall pictures we got of the kids... They weren't being super cooperative but oh well.  Tyler doesn't want me to get any "professional" ones done because he can take good pictures which is very true although one of our lens is broken and he had to manually focus which didn't work so well on our wild children. :) I think he did manage to get a couple winners though and really there were very few tears during the whole process.  I don't even think Tyler cried. ;)  Hope everyone is having a fantastic Fall.  We can hardly wait for the Holidays so we can see family and spend time together!  We miss them all so much! Now that the weather has turned cold it feels like it should be here.  I guess we can wait another couple weeks if we have to though.

Clark turns 4!

We are so grateful Clark is in our family! He brings a whole different dimension that wouldn't be there otherwise. :) We love him so much. At four years Clark loves the color green, "mowing" the lawn, painting, gears, sprinklers, and hucklecat to name a few things. He also loves his big sister Addison and sister Kaylee. He had his first real friend party involving activities other than the park. We did a fall theme since he couldn't decide and he was excited about it so I ran with it. We painted foam pumpkins, played musical chairs, pin the nose on the pumpkin and of course had cupcakes and presents.  It was mostly just fun with only a touch of stress. ;) we love you clark!

Clark loves all his presents especially the building ones. He got gears and special building magnets from grandparents. Both have been a big hit! I think I have already spent at least 6 hours building with him in the past 3 days. (That is not to mention the time he himself has been building!) Thank you everyone for helping Clark feel extra special in his special day!

Busy Busy

We have been busy with all sorts of stuff lately. One of which has been making PJs... More to make but Clark's PJs are a hit!
Kaylee loves to swing just like the others do!

A picture Addison drew and colored of our family at kindergarten. I love Tyler's "spikes" on his face. Aka stubble. ;)
We went to a children's museum that had a Bob the builder exhibit. We thought Clark would love it. He loved the museum although I don't think he cared about the Bob the builder exhibit anymore than any of the other exhibits.

Addison wanted her own scrap book to do so while I canned one after noon she scrapped. She had a blast with it and has a good eye for artsy stuff already... She comes by it honestly from all her grandparents and dad.
Outside play so much fun! Clark has grown up so much since Addison started kindergarten. He plays better with Kaylee and just acts more grown up about things.
Kaylee is running all over the place and is a busy toddler now as much as I want her to stay my baby... I enjoy seeing her discover new things.
Here is a picture of Addison on her first day of school with her best friend Breda. They are in the same class this year. It's been a busy fall already with lots of babysitting and kindergarten. Addison comes home from school tired most days. She does enjoy it most days though!
We hope everyone else is having a fun busy fall as well! We are still trying to make it to the park once a week and story time at the library at least every other week. Life is busy but good.

Kaylee is a year old!

Wow, it's hard to believe it's been a whole year since we have had Kaylee in our home... Out of my tummy. ;) She has brought so much joy to our family.  She is so easy going for the most part although we are starting to see her little personality emerge as she expresses her independence.  She has her well child check next week so I will update her stats then although I am pretty sure she is on the tall end again. ;)  Kaylee was so excited about the candle and was actually sad when sister (Addison) helped her blow it out. When we placed her plate of cake and ice cream in front of her she didn't want to touch it at first.  Almost as if it were a decoration, but once she started picking at it she realized it was OK to eat and she loved every bit of it.  These pictures are from the camera.  We got some really good shots of the aftermath on my phone I will try to post along with some other cute shots.  The link at the bottom takes you to a video of her enjoying her cake.  We love you Kaylee and are so grateful you are part of our family!

Kaylee didn't care about her presents at all when they were wrapped.  She kept trying to go for Grandma W on the computer instead. Once Addison and Clark helped unwrap some she got very excited about the princesses.  It will be good for her to have some toys I can tell the other two that are for kaylee and if she is playing she doesn't have to share.  Clark especially still has a hard time sharing even being in his room with her can be hard for him if he has a story going because he is concerned Kaylee will wreck it.  Such is the life of a big brother I suppose...
She likes her stackable chickens too! :)

growing

Kaylee is learning to walk. She can stand up from sitting and walks great with her toy or holding onto a finger.
Kaylee trying to do stairs! She is great at going up...
Trying a Popsicle for the first time.
 Yum!
Splash pad fun! The splash pad came before the Popsicles but hey at least it's an update. :)

Yard work!

Alright here is the first phone post I have ever made. Not sure if it is going to look right! So we decided we wanted more garden space on our small lot so Tyler set to work making more garden boxes Friday and Saturday. Now we have corn and tomatoes to go along with our other yummy veggies. The kids were super excited. Kaylee looks upset but actually she was excited we finally let her it off the stroller to play in the dirt. Clark made "sprinklers" out if the nails. They are stuck in the ground beside him if you can see them... Phone pics...
