Back to normal

So... I had an awesome post already to go and Kaylee so wonderfully touched my screen and poof it was gone. November and December were challenging months for us trying to figure out where we were suppose to be and trusting the Lord that all would work out. It has and we had so many tender mercies I would be so ungrateful to not point out how taken care of we were by family, neighbors and friends during the 2mobths Tyler didn't have employment. Thankfully he had a severance package and the Lord's timing is always perfect although it felt chaotic at times we made it through. We are still in our home. We ended up not needing g to move after all. We feel like the Lord was seeing if we were willing to do what he wanted and in the process we ended up doing sooooooo many many projects big and little to make our home even better than it was. Just to document some things we did were: finish basement! Finish shed, including painting it, finished and painted half wall upstairs, patched and painted behind toilets, new face plates on some light switches upstairs, painted kitchen, painted masterbedroom, deep cleaned everything, put up boards undersigned (the plumbers had to cut the backs of the cabinets and behind the toilets when they updated the plumbing), contact paper in the cabinets, scrubbed refinishing stuff on the cupboards in kitchen, painted front and back doors and outside trim, touch up paint on all upstairs trim, painted posts on back porch. We did this all in about 4 weeks... Plus more little things that I can't remember... Wow it's making me tired thinking of all we did. In my next post all include some pictures of how now I've been making it ours again instead of getting it ready to sell. :) It's been lots of fun to do the kids rooms how they want with my own little touches. I still have lots of decorating to do but it's coming along.

Another major highlight was Addison's baptism and confirmation on Jan 7, 2017. We are so proud of her decision to join the Burch of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints. She is a huge blessing in our lives. She obedient, kind, helpful and has a great attitude most of the time. :) We love her!

Changes!

 So I missed part 2 of our trip and feel of the face if the earth... We are alive and the Lord has shown us lots of tender mercies along the way. Tyler was laid off. This time not by choice. The first time he was laid off almost 4 years ago he volunteered to take a severance package because he wanted to try out freelance. Still no job and or house is for sale because sometimes following the spirit takes you on an adventure but lots of little miracles along the way so I'm trying not to complain or be too stressed.

 We did a ton of house projects to get our home ready to sell plus they just needed to be done! The basement is done now and we are loving the living space now! Emma knows what the scraper is for. :) She was running it along our half wall we put in to replace a banister that was wobbly. Tyler is amazing. If he didn't know how to do something he just researched it and jumped in to try it.

 We have still been doing fun things like black island farm (for free!!!) We got free coupons from refinancing our home loan almost 2 years ago... And another free Halloween thing.

Here are a few moments to catch you up. The summer was a lot of fun with a few extras kiddos here too we tried to do lots of fun things like the splash pad, library, water balloon fights, new parks etc. Life is good even with our trials. When I'm feeling depressed I remind myself of all the trials I really don't want and it helps along with serving others. I'm so grateful for this season to remember our Savior and the ultimate sacrifice he made for me individually.
